The Jumpshot Doc shooting program consists of three stations:
STATION #1 ( 20 minutes )
Station #1 consists of a variety ball handling and hand-strengthening exercises designed to strengthen the player’s fingers, hands, and wrists. These exercises, when performed aggressively, will eventually make the release of the ball off the fingers, when shooting, that much easier. The player will ALWAYS start with weighted ball grips, move into non-dribbling exercises with the basketball, and then complete Station #1 with their choice of ball handling drills. All these drills will be performed in our dribbling station upon first entering The Jumpshot Doc area.
STATION #2 ( 20 minutes )
Station #2 is where you will receive private, one-on-one shooting instruction from a professional shooting coach. During this stage of the workout, you must be 100% focused and concentrated on correcting, adjusting and/or maintaining your form. During this second stage of the workout, your shot will be analysed by a professional shooting coach, followed by making adjustments to your form that will start you on the road to consistency.
STATION #3 ( 20 minutes )
During the final 20 minutes of the workout, the player will enter our shooting area and, independently, shoot hundreds of shots in succession. During your entire shooting session, our NOAH SYSTEM will track and record the arc, depth into the rim, direction of entry, and result ( make or miss ) of every shot taken. All the data collected by the Noah System is available in real time. After Station #3 is complete, players can visit NoahBasketball.com, login, and check their results.
THE GUN 8000 by Shoot-A-Way allows members to get up hundreds of shots in a single shooting session ( repetition, repetition, repetition ), receive passes to different spots on the floor, speed up or delay the time in between passes (allows for catch and shoot repetition and shooting off the pass or dribble). The combinations are endless. The Gun 8000 is used by many collegiate and professional basketball teams across country.
In Station #3 you will shoot hundreds of reps. It is for this reason that you APPLY WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED in Station #2. It does no good if you receive personal instruction to adjust your shooting mechanics and then revert back to your old ways every time you are in Station #3. We can’t stress this point enough! Even when you are in between appointments and practicing on your own, you must concentrate on using what you have learned. We know these adjustments may feel uncomfortable at first. That’s perfectly normal. BUT YOU MUST APPLY WHAT YOU LEARN. It’s the reason you came to us in the first place!
Don’t wait any longer. If you are struggling to make shots, things will not change if you keep shooting the wrong way. Let us help you. Let us analyse your shot and work on perfecting your form, thus making you a more consistent and confident shooter.
